Helping Parents and Children Navigate Big Feelings with Confidence
If you’re here, it's probably because parenting feels really hard right now.
Maybe your child's anxiety is running the family.
Maybe morning/evening routines have turned into daily battles.
Maybe your child's meltdowns are feeling too unpredictable or too intense.
Maybe your child just received an anxiety, autism or ADHD diagnosis and you're feeling overwhelmed.
Maybe you’re quietly wondering, "What am I doing wrong?"
You are not alone.
Together, we can move from shame and overwhelm to better understanding and increased flexibility, resilience, and confidence - for you and your child.
Hi, I'm Ashley and I am passionate about working with anxious and/or neurodivergent kids & teens — especially those navigating big emotions, social challenges, school frustrations, and identity exploration. I firmly believe in the neurodiversity paradigm, and view autism and learning disabilities as differences NOT deficits.
Having grown up in Marin myself, I understand the unique challenges and benefits of this community. I worked in public and private schools around the Bay for the majority of my career, before turning to private practice. Because of my school-based experiences, I also believe it's important to collaborate with educators and other service providers to create lasting change.
I like to bring a sense of playfulness, curiosity and creativity to sessions. I believe it's important to externalize emotions so that we can get some distance and better examine their impact on our lives. Once you have some perspective, you can decide how you want to show up when your emotions try to run the show. It is also essential to define concrete goals that we are working towards throughout our time together, so we have guideposts along the way.
I am also a realist - I know that we cannot aim for perfection. We are working towards consistent and incremental changes over time. Even just noticing that you have a chance to make a different choice in the face of challenge can have a huge positive impact.
Please feel free to reach out for a brief call, ask questions, or to book an intake. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
